Terms of Use

Otena Clinic makes the protection of personal information of website users a principle and complies with the personal information protection regulations under the [Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection] and the personal information protection guidelines established by the Ministry of Information and Communication.

Through these Terms of Use, Otena Clinic informs you that we do not collect personal information without the user's consent, and explains how personal information is used and protected.

Personal information obtained through membership registration is not transferred or sold for profit-seeking purposes.

Article 1 (Consent to Collection of Personal Information)

If you wish to register as a member of Otena Clinic, you are considered to have agreed to the collection of personal information if you agree to the contents of these Terms of Use.

Otena Clinic will take necessary measures to ensure that membership withdrawal (withdrawal of consent for personal information collection) can be exercised through the same methods and procedures as when the information was collected.

Article 2 (Purpose)

The purpose of these Terms is to comply with and prescribe matters regarding the conditions and procedures for using services provided by Otena Clinic, and other necessary matters, as determined by the Telecommunications Business Act and its Enforcement Decree.

The purposes include identity verification for service provision upon membership registration and member management.

It is also to fulfill the services provided by Otena Clinic (medical consultation, appointment reservation, information materials, various event information, etc.).

Otena Clinic has opened a channel where you can raise opinions and complaints regarding personal information protection. If you have any complaints regarding personal information, please contact the Chief Privacy Officer of Otena Clinic, and we will take immediate action upon receipt.

Article 3 (Effect and Change of Terms)

  1. Otena Clinic does not provide or share user information with others or other institutions without the user's consent. If sharing with affiliates is necessary for better service provision, we will go through a procedure of notifying you individually to obtain consent. If you do not agree, we will not share it with affiliates.
  2. Users can view their personal information at any time and modify or delete it if desired.
  3. Your personal information will be destroyed once the purpose of collection or the purpose for which it was provided has been achieved as follows. However, if retention is required, we will obtain the user's consent.
    • Membership Information: When membership is withdrawn or the member is expelled.
    • Medical Expense Payment Information: When the medical expenses are fully paid or the statute of limitations for the claim expires.
    • Medical Information: When medical services are delivered or provided (Exception: If preservation is necessary under the provisions of laws such as the Commercial Act).

Article 4 (Service Withdrawal, Re-joining, and Restriction of Use)

Service Withdrawal

  1. If a user wishes to withdraw from the service, the member must directly request termination to the operator via email.
  2. When applying for service withdrawal, if you provide your name, ID, phone number, and reason for termination, we will verify it against the member records and terminate the registration.
  3. Withdrawal is confirmed if you cannot log in with your existing ID and password.

Service Re-joining

If a user who has withdrawn from the service wishes to re-join, the member must directly request re-joining via email.

Restriction of Service Use

The Company may terminate the user agreement without prior notice or suspend service use for a set period if a member commits any of the following acts:

  1. Planning or executing service use for criminal acts.
  2. Causing disadvantage to others.
  3. Double registration with different IDs by the same user.
  4. Hindering sound usage.
  5. Violating other relevant laws or usage conditions set by the Company.

Article 5 (Measures to Prevent Personal Information Leakage)

Otena Clinic is making efforts using the following methods to ensure safety so that users' personal information is not stolen, lost, or damaged during use.

  1. Your personal information is protected by an ID and password, and can only be modified/deleted by the system administrator and yourself. Separate security functions are used to protect files or data by encrypting them during transmission.
  2. Otena Clinic takes measures to prevent user damage caused by computer viruses using vaccine programs.
  3. Otena Clinic uses security devices that can safely transmit personal information on the network using encryption algorithms. We use devices to prevent leakage of your personal information by hacking, etc., and to block intrusions from the outside.

Article 6 (Obligations of Members)

  1. Members shall comply with the matters specified in these Terms, other regulations set by Otena Clinic, notices such as service use guides, matters notified by the Company, and relevant laws. Members shall not engage in acts that interfere with Otena Clinic's business or damage Otena Clinic's reputation.
  2. Except where Otena Clinic bears responsibility under relevant laws and the privacy policy, the member is responsible for results caused by negligence in management or fraudulent use.
  3. Members must fill in all matters based on facts with their real names when applying for service or changing member information. If false information or another person's information is registered, no rights can be claimed.
  4. Members shall not infringe on the intellectual property rights of the Company or third parties.
  5. Members shall not engage in acts falling under any of the following items. If such acts are committed, Otena Clinic may impose sanctions including restrictions on service use and legal action.
    1. Registering false content when applying for membership or changing member information.
    2. Stealing personal information such as another user's ID, resident registration number, password, or email address.
    3. Trading the user ID and provided services with others or transferring them without the Company's consent.
    4. Acts violating other relevant laws.
